The Meet Cute: Railay Beach, Thailand

 Lisamarie and Leander separately met a man named Arthur on their travels. On September 10, 2019 Arthur was meeting Lisamarie to go on a Hike. He first ran into Leander and invited him. After a difficult hike, a dip in the ocean, and a night watching Muay Thai, Lisamarie and Leander were infatuated with each other. The next three days created the foundation of their love story!

Closing the Gap

We all know that Lisamarie and Leander navigated their relationship with LOTS of distance between them. Lisamarie was able to visit Berlin multiple times allowing them to create memories in Rome, share cultural traditions, start new hobbies together, and get a taste of what a life together would entail. Their time apart was also full of date nights, deep conversations, and fun games through video chat. 

Their hearts truly grew fonder with their time apart. 

 

The Proposal: Spreedrop Berlin

 
In the summer of 2021, Lisamarie and Leander went on a Kayaking & Picnic Adventure. As they enjoyed the swans swimming by after lunch, Leander presented a wrapped box. Lisamarie excitedly opened the gift to find a box of airpods, a gift that Leander had mentioned getting her for months! She opened the box to find, instead of airpods, a note. As she finished reading the note, Leander was standing on one knee ready to ask if she will marry him.

Don't worry, she still got a pair of airpods a few weeks later.

 

The Wedding: Riviera Maya, Mexico

Lisamarie and Leander got married on October 7, 2021 at the City Hall of Denmark. They are very excited to be celebrating their marriage with family and friends on the same date in 2023! The wedding will be at the Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves Chapel at the Grand Palladium Hotel. They chose this location because it is easy to travel to from both the USA and Germany. They are super excited to have everyone staying at the resort together bonding, celebrating love, and creating memories.
