Travel

1. What time is my airport transportation?

Your should head to the Vacation Express/ NexusTours reps when you arrive at the airport.

Arrival Info: Pass through passport control, get your bags and proceed through customs. Pass through an area for timeshare and ground transportation solicitors who may try to stop you to provide "assistance". Please do not stop, continue directly to the EXIT. Immediately outside the terminal building, you will see Vacation Express/NexusTours reps wearing orange shirts and ready to escort you to the transportation to your resort. Nexus representatives are available to assist you 24/7.

If you require assistance with your hotel/airport transfer contact Nexus Tours: 9am-5pm local time. Local number is 998-283-1910. For 24/7 assistance within Mexico dial 1-800-070-0033 or from a U.S. phone dial 1-855-706-3987.

Your return transfer info will be provided 48hrs prior to departure. If you did not register, you will be contacted by phone in your room so please check for messages. You may also call the 24/7 phone number listed above to reconfirm your return transfer pick up time.

2. How are we getting to Cenotes and Chichen Itza?

We have arranged all transporation and extra activities with two different companies. This is at no additional cost to our guests and we are happy to provide these experiences to you! Sit back and enjoy!

Grand Palladium Resort

1. What is the name of our resort?

We are staying at the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort and Spa. If you'd like, you can download the Grand Palladium app before hand to take a look at the resort map and activities!

2. Is everything located on or near the resort?

Our two additional activities at the Cenotes and Chichen Itza are not at the resort. We will have a bus transport us. You can expect up to a 2 hour transfer ride.

The Mini Bacholorette/Bachelor Gathering, Dinner, Wedding Ceremony, Photographs, and Reception are on the resort grounds. There will be additional activities and gatherings organized for all Grand Palladium Guests by the resort each day that we can also participate in!

3. What else should I expect to spend money on?

The resort is all inclusive. This means your meals, drinks and stay are included in your room price. With that said, all inclusive resorts are big on tipping. Please bring small USD bills (no coins) or exchange for mexican pesos to tip resort staff. Most websites suggest that couples bring about 10-15 USD per day for tipping at all inclusive resorts.

Estimated Exchange Rates: 1 USD is about 15 MXN / 1 EUR is about 17 MXN.

When we go on our excursions you may also want to purchase extra snacks or drinks so please bring cash in case places outside the resort do not accept credit cards.

4. How do I get pesos?

We would suggest either using an ATM at the airport/resort or exhanging cash at the airport. The resort does have the ability to exchange money but we cannot promise it will be the best exchange rate.

5. Do I need a power adapter/different plug?.

6. Is it safe to leave the resort?

This part of the Yucatan is very touristy. Of course you should always keep notice of your surroundings but you are welcome to leave the resort to go shopping in town. You may need to arrange a taxi or take a collectivo since we will be located just outside of town. It is recommended to not go off the resort premises at night.

Wedding Ceremony

1. What is the dress code? Should I avoid any colors?

Since we are having a Catholic Ceremony, the dress code is modest and semi-formal. Women should have their shoulders and knees covered. Men should wear shirt and tie or a suit.

We would suggest avoiding Pink and White as those are the wedding colors. If unsure, you can always text us for more clarification!

2. What time is the ceremony?

The Ceremony is at 14:00. You must meet in the Lobby at 13:15 to be transported to the church before the bride and groom.

Reception

1. What is the dress code? Should I avoid any colors?

You can dress semi-formal or casual. We want you to be comfortable and ready to party. Just remember there will still be a photographer for the first two hours of the ceremony and a photobooth for the last three. Whichever clothes you are wearing will be seen for years to come! You can change from your church attire.

We would suggest avoiding Pink and White as those are the wedding colors. If unsure, you can always text us for more clarification!

2. What time is the reception?

The reception is at 18:00-23:00. If you aren't ready to stop partying you can continue the festivities at the resort sports bar which is open later.

3. Do you want me to say a speech?

We'd love for anyone interested in speaking to say a speech, but it is not required! We will open the mic for speeches during dessert. Let us know if you are interested so that we make sure the mic stays open until you have gotten up!

Your presence is honestly the most cherished gift we can ask for. We do not have a gift registry and are so happy to be spending this precious time with you all together!

2. Will I need a new sim card or pay extra for cell phone reception?

When we are at the resort there will be wifi available. While traveling if you do not have an international cell phone plan then you will not have cell phone reception. An App that we use when we visit the states and other countries is called Airalo.
